In which Robert Galbraith (A.K.A. J.K. Rowling) does not dangle a participle.

Cuckoo’s Calling was a fun book to read. J K Rowling does have a way with words. I kept reading sentences that would have sounded awkward if I was writing them and wondering at the easy way they fit the flow of the prose.  That said, the book is a little wordy.  I like for my mysteries to be about 350 pages.  This one is 455. The mystery is what I call a ‘fair” one; the clues are all there, you just have to put them together as the detective does. I have to admit that I had rejected the actual murderer as a suspect early on & did not know who it was until the very end. Well done, Galbraith/Rowling! I hope to read more about Cormoran Strike in the future.
